Biography and Introduction
Merve Kadayifci, Esq. is a diligent and accomplished litigator whose practice focuses on construction litigation, commercial disputes, insurance defense, and complex civil litigation. She brings a disciplined analytical approach to every matter, combining strong legal research and writing skills with practical problem-solving to help clients navigate challenging disputes efficiently and effectively. Merve is committed to delivering strategic advocacy and meticulous case management from the earliest stages of litigation through resolution.
Merve’s practice includes drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; conducting legal research and factual investigations; managing discovery; preparing case evaluations; and assisting with all phases of litigation. She has experience analyzing complex legal issues, developing claims and defenses, preparing demand letters, and supporting motion practice in both state and federal matters. Her broad litigation background allows her to approach disputes from multiple perspectives and develop practical strategies tailored to her clients’ objectives.
Prior to joining Chan Vitanza, Merve gained experience in a variety of legal disciplines, including commercial litigation, medical malpractice, securities arbitration, and government contracting.
Merve earned her Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law where she was awarded a full-tuition Dean’s Scholarship, served as Editor-in-Chief of the New York International Law Review, and was a Senior Staff Member of the Commercial Division Online Law Report. In recognition of her leadership and contributions to the law school community, she received both the Cornerstone Award and the Greatest Impact on the St. John’s Law School Community Award. Merve also served as a Teaching Assistant for Business Organizations and mentored fellow students through the Women’s Law Society. Merve received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science, from New York University. Her academic background provides a strong foundation for analyzing complex business and construction disputes involving financial, technical, and operational issues.
