Biography and Introduction
Nicole Fabian Peña is a dynamic and versatile litigator whose practice focuses on insurance defense and complex civil litigation. She brings a strong advocacy background, exceptional legal writing skills, and a practical problem-solving mindset to every matter she handles. Nicole is committed to helping clients navigate disputes efficiently while advancing their business and legal objectives through strategic and results-oriented representation.
Nicole’s practice includes all aspects of litigation, from early case assessment and legal research through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. She regularly drafts pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and legal memoranda, conducts factual and legal investigations, manages document discovery, and assists in developing litigation strategy. Her broad experience across multiple practice areas enables her to analyze complex issues from both legal and business perspectives and develop practical solutions tailored to her clients’ needs.
Prior to joining Chan Vitanza, Nicole gained experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, employment law, intellectual property, mediation, sports and entertainment law, and corporate transactions.
Nicole earned her Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she graduated with distinction and received numerous honors, including the Jacob Burns Medal, the Dominican Bar Association Scholarship, the E. Nathaniel Gates Scholarship, and recognition as a Heyman Scholar. She served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Moot Court Honor Society and was a Semi-Finalist and International Finals Competitor in the prestigious Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition. She received her Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Adelphi University, with a minor in Forensic Anthropology. Her academic background provides valuable insight into human behavior, conflict resolution, and analytical problem-solving, all of which enhance her effectiveness as an advocate.
