Biography and Introduction
Jillian C. Finn is a detail-oriented and strategic litigator whose practice focuses on general liability defense, tort liability, and construction litigation. She represents clients through all phases of litigation, bringing a disciplined, hands-on approach that integrates legal precision with practical, results-driven strategy. Jillian is known for her ability to manage complex matters efficiently from inception through resolution, ensuring that each stage of litigation advances her clients’ legal and business objectives.
Jillian’s practice encompasses comprehensive case management, including early case assessment and reporting, analysis of liability and damages, drafting pleadings, coordinating and responding to discovery, motion practice, and deposition preparation. She is experienced in working with expert and fact witnesses, managing subpoenas, and developing litigation strategy through trial preparation. Her strong foundation in procedural law and attention to evidentiary detail enable her to craft persuasive, well-supported arguments.
Prior to joining Chan Vitanza, Jillian gained diverse litigation and transactional experience through judicial and law firm roles. She served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Claire R. Kelly of the U.S. Court of International Trade, where she researched complex legal issues and contributed to bench memoranda and judicial opinions. Jillian also worked as a legal extern and law clerk in both litigation and transactional settings, assisting in matters involving intellectual property, employment, contract disputes, and commercial real estate. Earlier in her career, she worked as a paralegal in personal injury litigation, where she supported attorneys in motion practice, legal research, and case management—experience that continues to inform her practical approach to litigation.
Jillian earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society (Trial Advocacy Division), the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society, and Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society. She received the Richardson Scholarship and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honor Society Graduation Award. While in law school, she was actively involved in student leadership as Administrative Secretary and Upper-Class Delegate of the Student Bar Association and served as Competition Director for the National Athlete Endorsement Negotiation Competition. Jillian received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University, where she graduated with honors and was a member of the Psi Chi International Psychology Honor Society.
